The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Abby Is Forced To Defend Herself – Has A Grown Max Rayburn Returned For Revenge?

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and rumors tease Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will be forced to defend herself, likely at the Bicentennial Ball. Could a grown-up Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze) be back for revenge on Abby?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – He Blamed Her For His Mom’s Death

As a young boy, Max and his mother Jenna Kieran (Stephanie Lemelin) were in a car crash and his mother was killed while on the phone with Abby. Abby was trying to get Jenna to let Max come to the wedding of his father, Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) when the car crashed. As a result, Max made an incorrect assumption that Abby had killed his mother, because of the phone call.

Abby and Stitch were called to the GCPD where Max had been brought and Max lived with them. But Max couldn’t let go of his hatred for Abby, and when she became pregnant he set a trap with fishing line, causing her to fall down the stairs and miscarry.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Stitch Rayburn’s Return, But Where Was Max Rayburn?

Viewers will remember when Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was the surrogate who carried Abby’s baby with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and disappeared. Stitch had returned to town and apparently found out about the surrogacy, and in a sick attempt to protect Mariah and the baby, he kidnapped her. Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (River and Rainn Ware) wound up being delivered by his bio parents when Mariah was finally found, but Stitch had fled.

Abby wondered where Max was, and after an investigation found he’d been in a hospital and had surgery, and Ben had taken him from there and fled. Max, if not aged up through Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome would now be sixteen.

Max Rayburn’s Issues Unresolved

Max’s issues were left unresolved and he never got closure for the death of his mother-nothing was ever said about him receiving psychological therapy. He showed signs of being a sociopath as a child, and without deep intervention that could only get worse with age. Stitch has to know that he would face kidnapping charges for Mariah’s kidnapping should he ever show his face in Genoa City again.

But that doesn’t mean that Max, now a teenager or aged older may not be back for revenge-Stitch may have worried Abby’s child would be in danger from Max. It’s entirely possible Max may be back, and in disguise, crashing the Bicentennial Ball-and Abby may be forced to not merely defend herself, but fight for her life!
