For some viewers Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has finally brought out the best in Sonny. For others it was Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Megan Ward) who was destined to be the love of Sonny’s life. All of the above mentioned woman have added their own personal magic to Sonny’s complicated life.

Maurice Benard got in on the fun and responded to the question by naming none of the women we mentioned. So who is left to have captured the Dimpled Don’s heart?

How about Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)? Benard thinks that Sonny’s true love was his ride or die bestie Jason and we’d have to agree on that.

Even Laura Wright tweeted that she agreed with this assessment, proving that platonic love is just as mind blowing as romantic love.

Throughout the years before his death, Jason was Sonny’s right-hand man and they shared complete trust. Of course there was the little matter of Jason and Carly marrying when they thought Sonny was dead but that indiscretion was swept under the table, and later made a moot point when Jason died.

Does this mean that Sonny’s current #2, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), could be on the fast track to taking Jason’s place? Not unless he suddenly switches allegiances since Dex is playing Sonny like a Stradivarius.
