General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is a world-class hypocrite. As she continues to rant and rave about Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) being the worst kind of human being keeping Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) confession to herself for months, no one is shining a light on just how much Carly’s behavior mirrored Liesl’s. As is typical of people in Port Charles, they often forget their own pasts while holding tightly to the grudges against others that shape who they are. It appears Liesl has forgotten all about her own attack on mothers and daughters.
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Spencer Wasn’t Right
Liesl and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) seem to be getting this all wrong. No one is saying Carly wasn’t wrong. She found out Nina was Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological mother and intentionally chose to keep it to herself while taking steps to ensure that no one ever found out. That was wrong, and everyone knows it. They just don’t care the same way that they care about Nina hiding the truth that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was alive and suffering from amnesia after a tragic accident in which his family thought he died. There is a difference. There is also a double standard.
GH Spoilers Hint Liesl Wasn’t EitherLiesl was also wrong — in more than one way. She was wrong to hold Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) hostage, and she was wrong to keep Robin from Emma Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) and Anna Devane (Finonla Hughes). Liesl is also wrong for chastising Carly over keeping a mother from her daughter when she knows exactly how that feels. She’s feeling the brunt of that even more now that she has lost her daughter and only remaining child, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). How quickly Liesl seems to have forgotten what she did to Robin, Emma, and Anna back in 2012.
General Hospital Spoilers — Who Might Point That Out?
The next time Liesl climbs up on her high horse and proclaims there is nothing she wouldn’t do to unite a mother with her child, Carly might be quick to jump in and remind her that there was plenty she did to keep two mothers away from their children. Liesl’s efforts to get what she wanted were far more important to her at the time than keeping a mother with her kin.
Furthermore, she’s never considered the weight of her actions or the risk involved in the many crimes she committed when it came to her children. So many of her actions could have taken her away from both Britt and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). When Carly reminds Liesl of her laundry list of dirty deeds, it may be the only defense she has once Liesl finds out Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) is the person whose life Britt saved the night she lost her own.
