General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Liesl getting a big surprise when she confronts Carly about all she has done to hurt Nina.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) should know not to cross Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), but it’s not something Carly thought of in 2020 when she chose to keep a very big secret from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) — Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was her daughter. Liesl had other concerns so she let that one go but enough is enough now that she knows that Carly also kept another secret from Nina — that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is Nina’s OTHER daughter.

Liesl is hoping to hear that she can make things better for her niece by being a bone marrow match for Willow, but while she waits, she decides to seek out much of the source of Nina’s pain — Carly.

After losing her own daughter as the new year began, Liesl has a different outlook on life. She understands how short life is and how important family and children can be, but can she get through to Carly and get her to see the damage she has done?

General Hospital Updates – Liesl Obrecht Does Her Best For Her Niece

When Liesl first approaches Carly, a smidge of conscience comes into play on Carly’s part because she knows that her own daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), is the reason that Britt Westbourne is dead. If she hadn’t stepped in to save Joss from The Hook, Britt would still be alive. But will that guilt be enough for her to truly hear Liesl?

“Liesl does some emotional pleading with Carly, telling her that if she is sorry about Britta’s death and Liesl’s tremendous loss…then Carly should do something about it and help Nina reconcile with Willow, for whatever time Willow may have left to live,” Kathleen Gati said in the February 20, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest.

Of course, Liesl is not really expecting to get somewhere with someone like Carly, but she really does try. Surprisingly, Carly gives her an answer she may have not expected. Does that mean there is hope for Willow and Nina after all? Could Carly actually show a tiny bit of remorse for what she has wrought via the first Nina’s Daughter Secret she kept?
