Stefan had been married to Gabi in the past. Stefan had nearly been killed but he had been saved by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton). Stefan had wanted to reunite with Gabi. Stefan was unable to get back with Gabi because Gabi’s husband Li Shin (Remington Shin) wanted to keep Stefan from her. Li wanted Dr. Rolf to brainwash Stefan to forget his feelings for Gabi and want to be with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Gabi has been determined to get Stefan to remember his true feelings for her.

Gabi was able to get Dr. Rolf to reverse the programming that he had done to Stefan. Gabi had hoped that Stefan would forget his feelings for Chloe but Stefan still has feelings for Chloe. Stefan has remembered that he loves Gabi. Stefan wants to reconnect with Gabi and wants to start to date her. Stefan may decide that he wants to take Gabi out on date.
