The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers say that this can either be a pleasant surprise or it can turn into his worst nightmare. Either way, it sounds like Kyle Abbott sure has a lot to contend with as he finds out that his parents Jack and Diane are sleeping with each other again.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, both Kyle and Summer Newman can’t help but notice that there’s a certain vibe going on between Diane and Jack. Michael Mealor, who plays Kyle on the hit CBS soap, says, “It’s just one of those things where you walk in and just know the energy is different. There’s an intimacy that Kyle is sensing between this mom and dad that he hasn’t noticed between them before. Summer knows right away that things are different because of that women’s intuition.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that at first, Kyle can’t help but wonder if Diane is simply spending the night because Jeremy is still a threat. Michael says, “Kyle is worried because everything they tried before to get Stark out of their lives never really worked out. So now he wants to know if he needs to worry about Summer and their son’s safety. Kyle wants to protect his own so he needs to know if he has to go back to that mindset of setting up a security detail.”

That said, Jack confirms that both he and Diane are indeed in a romantic relationship. The news throws Kyle for a loop. Michael continues, “He saw signs of his mom and dad getting closer but he just sort of ignored it. Diane can see that Kyle is a little freaked out and she explains that this wasn’t planned. She came back to Genia City only to connect with Kyle. She never in a million years thought that Jack would forgive her.”
