General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Cain Gives Carly Corinthos An Out

The drama that has swirled around Carly at the hands of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is far from over. Drew and Carly are in a love bubble right now in Jacksonville. Being miles aware of their day-to-day responsibilities and anyone who knows them isn’t helping them to see their relationship any clearer. Does Drew have blinders on when it comes to Carly?

This is where Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and Drew differ so much. Jason and Sonny both know all of the good and not-so-good parts of Carly and always accepted them. Drew, on the other hand, hasn’t had to deal with quite as many of Carly’s unintended messes.

But a healthy dose of skepticism is warranted right now, and Drew is oblivious for a while but will finally catch on. When he does realize there may be more to the story about Nina and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), he will ask Carly —- once again —- if she knows anything. Will she be ready to let Drew in on her secret?

She convinces herself she’s not sharing what she knows with him so that he won’t feel implicated, or obligated to keep the secret while Carly still isn’t ready to blow the lid off of it.

Unfortunately, Carly’s excuse that did it for Drew isn’t going to land well. Drew might genuinely believe Carly never intended to hurt him in the process of hurting both Willow and Nina, but the end result will be much the same. How can he trust her after she continued to lie multiple times? Ultimately, Drew will feel like Carly kept the secret only so he wouldn’t pressure or encourage her to tell the truth. He will see her lie of omission as manipulation, and he will opt out of a love story with Carly.
