Days Of Our Lives Star Marci Miller Readies For The Daytime Emmys

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that star Marci Miller might be off the soap (for now), but that still doesn’t mean she won’t be celebrating with her castmates at the 49th Annual Daytime Emmys this week.

Although Marci Miller has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress twice before for playing Abigail DiMera, including when Abigail had several other personalities, she never actually won the award, but 2022 could be her year.

Abby may be dead now after being brutally stabbed in her bed in June, but she still had a busy year in 2021 when Abby learned she may or may not have been betrayed by her husband, and that she has a long-lost sister she had never heard of before. Miller hopes some of these scenes will bring her a golden statuette.

“I tried to create an arc in the story I was in,” Miller told Soap Hub about her Emmy reel. The opening scenes are where Gwen stayed with Chad in the hotel all night long. She realizes maybe Gwen took advantage of her husband [and] she loses her mind. Then, Abby finds out Gwen is pregnant and that Chad is the father. Then, there are scenes with Billy where Abby is frustrated and remorseful that Gwen has done all these things to her and made her into someone she doesn’t want to be. How can Abby move forward?”

Like any award show, what your favorite stars wear on the red carpet is always of interest and the performers know that the red carpet walk is a performance too. And it’s a glamorous performance one must prepare for. Leading up to the Emmys, Miller was doing just that.

“I’m always in this frustrating territory where I have specific ideas and strong opinions, but I hate shopping,” Miller explained. “I went with Sal Stowers [Lani Price Grant] and my daughter and we found a few things we liked but I just decided to work with a stylist. Sal connected me with one. We’ve been e-mailing…Someone else will help me put it all together.”
