Abe overheard part of the conversation that clued him in on the details and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) has confirmed this. However, both men also agreed that it is better to let Paulina claim responsibility. Abe knows that he cannot be forced to testify if he is married to Paulina and that is the only way to protect her lie. Abe is also a former cop and knows how the system works. Will Abe be able to help keep the truth under wraps by marrying Paulina? Can Abe help Paulina and Eli save Lani Grant (Sal Stowers)?

Days of Our Lives Lani is a police officer and would lose her badge if anyone knew she shot T.R. Lani would also be facing time in prison even though she saw her father ready to strike her mother. Lani is supposed to be trained to not react in this manner.

Unfortunately, Lani reacted to the fact that T.R. hit Abe and shot Eli as well. Lani felt that she was saving her family from the man who had tried to destroy them. If Lani has been honest, nothing would have happened to her but allowing Paulina to claim responsibility ruined that chance. Lani has no choice but to allow this to play out.

Days Of Our Lives Abe loves Paulina and Lani. Abe believed he was Lani’s father for years before the truth came out. Abe also fell in love with Paulina before he learned the truth about Lani’s parentage. Abe was ready to marry Paulina before and realized that he still does. By marrying Paulina, Abe feels that he can protect both Lani and Paulina. Abe is also looking out for the twins that think of him as their grandfather. Can Abe keep this lie covered and hope that Paulina gets acquitted? After all, Paulina is claiming battered woman syndrome as her defense, will it work?
Paulina’s excuse is much more believable than Lani’s actions. Can Abe protect Paulina and help prove her defense?
