The Young and the Restless (YR) spoilers document that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is in love with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). That is why he risked his life to save hers after the car crash where Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) had a heart attack and died.

Ashland’s feelings for Victoria are not a false front. His love was finally verified by the viewers during those dramatic moments in the woods when her car was engulfed in flames. She also recognized that he was telling the truth in the aftermath of the accident.

However, the fallout from how Ashland manipulated Victoria to create the merger rightly overrides all current claims, even though they are true.

Victoria allowed herself to take a leap of faith. She felt that Ashland projected to a good romantic match because of the common traits they shared.

Heinle’s character also believed that Ashland shared her view of the world and hopes for a merged, personal future. She was willing to put his past misdeeds, as the Lockeness Monster, in a file marked yesterday.

But Ashland’s forced admission to having conned her by lying about having terminal cancer was more than a current mistake. His unconscionable plan was exacted over the course of months, which underscores his diabolical nature.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Victor Newman Not Used To Losing

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had to buy out Ashland. If he had not paid Newman’s character five-hundred million dollars, the annulment may not have followed.

Ashland had no incentive to walk away from the merged company. So, if Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) plan had not worked, Ashland would likely not have agreed to leave his contract.

But Victor’s terms of the agreement did not include Ashland physically moving out of Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Ashland Locke’s Persistence Pays Off?

Ashland appears to be staying in GC for the long term. Unless some buzz about him being killed by any one of a number of rivals happens, fans will continue to enjoy the presence of Robert Newman in an already stellar cast.

The odds are not good that Victoria will allow herself to be taken back in by Ashland. She is avoiding him because of her continued vulnerability. But he can not wait forever.

So, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) projects as Ashland’s most likely next romantic match and business partner. Imagine Victor and Victoria’s response if that happens.
