The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is finally stepping up and becoming a man. That’s because he’s allowing himself to come to terms with his past in the hopes that he – and his son – can have a better future. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Kyle gets the surprise of a lifetime when an unexpected guest shows up to his engagement party with Summer Newman (Hunter King). That guest happens to be his young son, Harrison, along with his mother, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Needless to say, everyone at the party is absolutely stunned as they had no idea that Kyle was already a father.

If that weren’t enough, Tara tells Harrison that Kyle is “mommy’s friend,” rather than his father. Speaking to the publication in a new interview, Michael Mealor, who plays Kyle on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “Meeting his son for the first time should be one of the happiest moments of Kyle’s life, but instead it’s one of the scariest because this is a secret that he’s been keeping from his family – and also there must be something wrong for Tara to show up with him. They had agreed that Harrison would never meet Kyle, and yet, here she is.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that after the engagement party, Kyle goes to meet up with Tara, bringing Summer along with him. Of course, Tara feels very uncomfortable. But, according to Michael, it’s Summer who is the better person and says, “Tara needs you right now. Let’s just do it her way. I’ll wait here and you go to talk to her.”

Kyle then finds out that she was tricked by Ashland into revealing her affair with Kyle and has not only kicked her out from their home but also vows to take Harrison away from her. Simply put, life as Kyle knows it, will soon change!
