As a matter of fact, Ciara can frolic all she wants in South Africa, as things are about to get pretty steamy between Ben and Claire back at home. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Ben is shocked when he receives divorce papers from Ciara in South Africa. Here he is crying back at home that he lost the love of her life and she’s moved on. Luckily for Ben, Claire is there to comfort him. When he says that he wants to fly to South Africa to win Ciara back, Claire manages to change his mind. She also surprises him with a kiss.

Robert Scott Wilson, who plays Ben Weston on the hit NBC soap, puts it this way to the publication, “Because he’s so vulnerable, he allows it for a split second, but he realizes what’s happening and stops her and understands the situation. When you are that hurt – and both of them are really experiencing the same thing – you need a hug, you need a kiss, you need affection, you need all that attention, so he leans into it but then quickly pumps the brakes. He stops it and she apologizes for kissing him.”

Ben and Claire then proceed to pretend as nothing happened. But Robert says that for Ben to move on, he wants to make sure that there’s no possibility of a reconciliation left between him and Ciara. That’s why he’s willing to fight for his wife one last time.

Robert added, “I know there’s going to be a lot of backlash for this one. I just prepared myself. I know people are already seeing it and they are not really on board with any of that, but I hope they understand the situation and why it happens.”
