Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) is currently enjoying his fling with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) but it shouldn’t be long before the novelty wears off and Gabi Hernandez (Camilla Banus) has made no secret that she wants Jake back and Kate or no Kate, Gabi won’t stop until she gets what she wants.

And she should have a bit of help since Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) agreed to help her break up Kate and Jake. And she also has help she doesn’t even know about, if Kristin DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) keeps her end of the deal she made with Vivian Alamaine (Linda Dano) to make sure that Kate and Jake were a couple no more.

Kristin has a lot on her plate right now, with all the body-swapping and mask-wearing in the name of making sure Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) doesn’t steal Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) from her while she is supposed to be in jail. As evidenced by what she just did to Sarah Horton (Lindsay Godfrey), it’s entirely possible that Kristen may plan to harm Kate. Abigail, who has much less experience in scheming, would likely just plant seeds of doubt in Jake’s mind and playing Gabi up. But regardless of how it happens, Jake certainly will come to the realization that he belongs with Gabi. But it won’t be so easy to end things with Kate.

But Kate is one of the smartest women in Salem, at least most of the time so she’ll likely sense that Jake is drifting away. But Kate also hates to lose and she is capable of just about anything, so perhaps if Kristin does indeed tries to eliminate Kate that Kate will play up any injury in order to keep Jake’s attention.

But Gabi will certainly see right through Kate since she has never been frail or needy in the past, that it’s just a means to an end. Kate probably doesn’t really want Jake in the long term anyway, but she certainly won’t let Gabi win. So look for both of them to concoct scheme after scheme in order to get Jake. But Jake may be turned off by both women and wash his hands of them both. But it won’t last. Gabi has claimed his heart whether he admits it or not.
