The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that while there are many people who love them as much as they hate them, Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith Newman) can’t help but feel close to them! As a matter of fact, the talented teen actress says that the Newmans have certainly felt like her second family, but in a good way of course. Here’s what she has to say.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the young starlet says that she certainly feels as though her co-stars Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) and Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) feel as though they are her real parents, even though they aren’t. That’s because they are just as close off-screen as they are on-screen! The same can be said about her on-screen grandparents and the rest of the Newman family.

Alyvia puts it this way, “I started playing Faith when I was 3 years old and right away I felt like I was taken under Melody Thomas Scott’s [Nikki Newman] wing. She really does give off those comforting grandma vibes, she’s just so loving and caring with everyone. She has a heart of gold. Getting to work with her and my grandpa, Eric [Braeden], is really fun.”

She also says that she has spent a lot of time off-screen bonding with Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland), her on-screen step-sister. She says, “Before the pandemic, I and Cammie went with Rob Adamson [Noah Newman] to Universal Studios and had the best time. And he has the cutest little daughter! I love her so much. Both of my Y&R sisters remind me of my sisters in real life. I am really lucky to have such an awesome extended family.”
