Devon has been deeply touched by Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) offer to serve as a surrogate. She plans to carry the child that Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (as was played by Donny Boaz) wants to have.

But Chance’s current inability to father a child has led Chabs to pursue an alternative course. This choice is one that Abby has found deeply challenging to make, especially because Chance isn’t around.

Devon appears to be thinking about becoming involved. Abby and Mariah are dear friends and he respects Chance. So, the audience will soon know if this projection plays out.

Devon’s Dream Never Realized

Devon remarried Hilary on her death bed. Morgan’s ending scenes took place over the course of a number of episodes, which allowed various connected characters to say their goodbyes.

Hevon was one of Y&R’s most charismatic and influential couples of the latter half of the past decade. James and Morgan had terrific chemistry, which instantly allowed fans to speculate that they would eventually be romantically re-paired on-screen once Morgan’s second alter ego was written into the show.

As Devon tried telling Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and had to convince Amanda of as well, he sees Morgan’s second character as her own, individual person. Devon is not reliving the past through Amanda’s resemblance to Hilary.

The recent reconnect Devon had with Elena is a threat to derail the relationship he’s just started with Amanda. That incident will need to be addressed and overcome at some point. Assuming that happens, then Demanda will have strong momentum toward enduring a couple’s status, marriage, and the start of a family that includes children.

Hilary wasn’t able to realize her hope. She never got to see Devon hold their child in his arms. With whatever might happen with Chabs’ efforts, Devon can have a child with Amanda if all goes well moving forward.
