Counting On Spoilers: Jill Dillard’s Desperation And Boundaries, Duggar Family Drama Rages On
Counting On spoilers reveal that Jill Duggar Dillard and her husband, Derrick Dillard are no longer in the 20 Kids and Counting spin-off. The couple has branched off from the famous supersized family. Jill admits that desperation led to them getting therapy, which taught them a lot. They have boundaries now, but the Duggar family drama still rages on.
Desperation Led To Therapy
Counting On spoilers reveal that Jill told Us Weekly that she and Derrick got to a point where they were desperate. It was when they got to that point when they finally sought out marriage counseling. The couple has learned a lot about boundaries, communication, and triggers. But they have also learned to use these techniques with extended family.
Counting On Spoilers: Duggar Family Drama
Jill explained that they were trying to work through a lot of issues. She stated that there is some drama with extended family, so it seems things have not improved with her parents, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar.
“There were just a lot of things that we were working through and then learning to develop boundaries with even just extended family. [There’s] a little bit of drama there… At that point, we were like, ‘We really need somebody outside the picture to speak into our lives to help us sort things out.’”
TLC Reality Show Ruined Family Relationships
Counting On spoilers reveal that last October, Jill posted a YouTube video. In the clip, she opened up about leaving the 20 Kids and Counting spin-off, how they didn’t have control over their own lives as reality stars, and the drama with the Duggar family. In fact, she suggested that filming negatively affected the relationships within her family.
“We found out we didn’t have as much control over our lives as it related to the show and stuff, as we needed. We had to make a decision at that time to kind of put the show aside… to pursue our own goals and everything. That’s when we made that decision.”

Not On The Best Terms With Duggar Family
Jill added that it was really hard to leave the show and the franchise because she basically grew up in front of the camera. However, she doesn’t regret the decision either. Unfortunately, it has caused some strain and tension in Jill and Derrick’s relationship with the Duggar family. The former reality star admits there is “some distancing” and they are “not on the best terms.” Jill confirmed that there have been arguments, but the goal is healing and restoration… one day.
While Jill and Derrick have opened up about the drama with the Duggar family, they also have kept private about what exactly went on between them. As for Jim Bob and Michelle, they clearly disapprove of their daughter’s new lifestyle. Fans have taken sides and some even outright attacked Jill for having a pina colada. A few overly passionate viewers even “threatened” Jill with how her father would not approve. Maybe one day the Dillards and Duggars will mend their fractured relationship. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
