Angelina Jolie Loves Being A Mom Of Teens

Angelina Jolie’s spoilers and updates tease that the kids the A-list actress had with Brad Pitt aren’t little anymore! The pair’s brood is all grown up and only five of the six remain minors.

A source told HollywoodLife that mom Angelina is a patient parent now that some of the kids are teens.

The insider said that Angelina could not be a more proud mom of her six children, and depends on, “open communication,” to help things flow smoothly.

They noted that “Angelina had a hard time as a teenager. She remembers how tough it was, so she’s incredibly patient with her kids. She wants them to be able to talk to her about anything.”

The insider also spilled that, “She does have rules, but she’s not at all what you’d call strict. She gives them a lot of autonomy.”

Going Through A Custody Battle

There are frequent pics of Angelina shopping with her kids and recently she, Shiloh, 14, and Zahara 16, were photographed on a shopping spree for Zahara’s birthday. Shiloh especially is getting tall and she’s already as tall as her mom!

Brad and Angelina also share sons Maddox, 19, and Pax, 17, as well as their youngest children who are twins. At this time the A-listers are in the middle of a custody battle over five of the kids, with one already an adult.

Last November a judge rejected her attempt to throw out the judge in the couple’s custody case, Judge John W. Ouderkirk. She reportedly wanted him to be replaced due to a potential conflict of interest.

Angelina’s court documents revealed that she wanted him removed because of his alleged previous relationship with Brad‘s attorney, Anne C. Kiley.

The insider also told the mag that Angelina is using her mother’s parenting method. “She was always so understanding and that’s the way Angelina tries to be with her kids too. There’s a big focus on talking.”

They added, “She loves the way they think. She says they’re constantly teaching her things and she absolutely loves having a house full of teenagers. They’re all growing up so fast. Her twins [Vivienne and Knox] will be 13 this summer, so it’s going by fast … she [has] loved every stage [of their childhood], but this is the most exciting.”
