The Young and the Restless’ Michelle Stafford Shares Struggles As Single Parent Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has caused panic, chaos, and death across the world. To stop the spread of the virus, governments in different countries have instructed their people to stay at home. During this time of social distancing and community quarantine, a lot of people are facing their own set of struggles and Michelle Stafford of “The Young and the Restless” is no exception.

Stafford originated the role of Nina Reeves on “General Hospital” and she’s now currently portraying Phyllis Summers on “The Young and the Restless.” In an Instagram post, the actress shared how social distancing has made single motherhood a bit difficult for her.

In the post, she shared a photo of her son and daughter wearing protective gear as they go on a trip to the grocery store.

“This was us getting ready to go to the grocery store yesterday. We didn’t have gloves so I had them wear socks on their hands. It worked. Gotta do what you gotta do. Make it work, ya know?” the caption read.

“As a single parent, it’s such a challenge because I don’t really want to bring my kids to the market but I can’t leave them at home or leave them in the car… ya know? I try to make this time as fun as I can. I’m sure you all are doing the same,” she explained.

It’s only when my head hits the pillow at night and I’m alone do I think… ‘Damn, what the hell.’ I try to keep all those thoughts to that time and not to give them (those thoughts) to my babies during the day,” she added.

The actress then wished that everyone’s doing well. She sent her love and thanks to all those who’ve given her strength and support during these trying times.

Nick and Phyllis Reunite

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for the week of March 30 hint that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will finally reunite and start dating once again. However, not everyone will be happy about the two getting back together.

Nick and Phyllis have always had that spark and it’s getting stronger whenever they’re close to each other. They both understand that they’ll only end up getting hurt but they also know for a fact that they can no longer fight their feelings for each other. They’ll engage in more hook-ups and flirtations. But it’s not just that. They can be in a serious relationship in case they decide to explore this avenue.

Spoilers tease that they’ll decide to start dating again but there’s one person who won’t be happy about it. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will learn about their reunion and she’ll confront Nick over her poor choices in women. Nikki won’t understand Nick’s decision but the latter won’t care because he only wants what makes him happy and right now, that’s Phyllis.
