Over the past six seasons, including one “bonus” episode that was previously on Netflix, these heroes take on the likes of the cyborg General Grievous, bounty hunter Cad Bane, Count Dooku-trained Assaj Ventress, and the recently resurrected Darth Maul. When the Walt Disney Company purchased Star Wars in 2012, it decided to end Star Wars Rebels, which left a lot of unresolved conflicts. In lieu of Disney+, the new season of The Clone Wars will be an exclusive one for the series.
According to a report via CBR, The Clone Wars Season 7 will be released to the online streaming service on Monday, Feb. 17. That season was already announced at San Diego Comic Con in 2018 and will have a wide variety of storylines including Bob Fett battling Cad Bane. In addition, Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-Wan will continue to reunite at the Siege of Mandalore. Fans have criticized the show and called it childish. They feel that it’s more fitting for a platform like The Disney Channel or Disney Jr. rather than Disney+.
But due to the success of The Mandalorian and other Disney+ series on the way, it’s certain that this series will continue to be a hit as well. Having one more season of The Clone Wars is great news for fans. Even if it’s become childish, it still has some of the best small screen stories in the galaxy. Viewers don’t have to wait much longer to watch this series. Fans will finally see their beloved characters on Season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars when it premieres on Monday, Feb. 17.
