The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) has just admitted what a lot of moms are thinking! While it might look like everyone has their act together on social media, that isn’t always the case behind closed doors. As a matter of fact, the stunning actress admits that she is just as exhausted, sometimes confused and guilt-ridden as the rest of us are! Here’s what she has to say.
In a post that she labels as “Motherhood Unplugged” Michelle says that keeping up with her two children definitely keeps her on her toes, but at the end of the day all she wants to do is relax, unwind and go to bed early – just like the rest of us! But because her children’s schedules and day-to-day life is so demanding, that isn’t always easy.
Sharing a photo of her and her kids getting ready on Halloween day, Michelle wrote,
“I am damn exhausted. All you other moms (or dads)… you had this kind of day??? Up early to get the kids dressed. Dropped one off at school and drove across the city to go to the other kid’s Halloween parade and party. Came home to finish up making the treats (yes I painted all those tangerines myself and that is edible ink on the marshmellows) for the first kid’s Halloween party. Helped at that party. Got them both from school, came home and got them both ready for Trick or treating… annnd went trick or treating. They both have the day off tomorrow cuz I’m sure they’ll be exhausted. I on the other hand… work all day long tomorrow. I mean… Happy Halloween.”
Now that’s something we can all relate to, right? Sure, Michelle Stafford might be a major daytime television star but it looks like she’s got the same kind of demands that many other “regular moms” have each day.
