Lauren Conrad Introduces Her Son Liam James

Lauren Conrad is one very proud new mother! The former reality television star-turned-celebrity designer is on this week’s issue of People Magazine with her newborn son, Liam James. Lauren and her husband William Tell welcomed their first child on July 5.

Lauren says that she’s easing in to her new role as a mom to young Liam. And thankfully the blonde beauty says that she’s so happy that she has a son as she always wanted to have a baby boy.

She told People Magazine in an interview, “I always hoped I would have a boy. Boys are so fun. I was a tomboy, and I always play best with boys. When we found out, I was so excited!”

What’s more, Lauren was also convinced that she was going to give birth to a big boy, yet that wasn’t the cast at all.The 31-year-old new celebrity mom continued, “Before the delivery, I felt like I was getting ready for a blind date. We considered doing the 4D ultrasound but then decided to wait. I just remember thinking he was so cute — and I was surprised by how tiny he was. I was convinced I was having a giant baby, to the point where I didn’t even buy newborn clothes — in my head he was 9 lbs.”

The 31-year-old new celebrity mom continued, “Before the delivery, I felt like I was getting ready for a blind date. We considered doing the 4D ultrasound but then decided to wait. Instead, Liam was born at 6 lbs, 14 oz. While that came as a surprise for Lauren, she was definitely prepared for Liam as she knew his sex ahead of time.

Lauren added, “I don’t really love surprises. I like to have all the information. And I was sharing my body with someone — so I wanted to know as much as possible about him.”
