Peta Murgatroyd Shares Sweet Snap With Son Shai For Her Birthday

Peta celebrated her 31s birthday with two of the most important people in her life. The ‘Dancing With The Stars’ pro shared a sweet snap of her son Shai from her wedding day on her Instagram account. Peta married her long-term love Maksim Chmervokskiy in a fairytale wedding at Oheka Castle in New York on July 8. The couple welcomed their son Shai back in January.

The new mom and bride captioned her photo with, “My light | my eternal love. Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy, on my birthday there is nothing more that I want than to be with you.”

Just recently, Peta also opened up about how she’s balancing work and motherhood. Many of her fans were surprised that she managed to return to ‘Dancing With The Stars’ this last season and only two months after she gave birth to Shai.

She told People Magazine back in March, “Being a mom to Shai has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me — it’s what makes me happiest. I would spend every second of the day with him if I could. But I also think it’s good for me to get back to work.”

Peta added, “That’s not to say it’s been easy. It’s full-on. It’s a huge struggle with scheduling. I have to have my whole day planned out before I leave the house so I know if I’ll be back in time to feed Shai or if the nanny will have to do it. And if that has to happen, I only allow myself to miss one feeding a day. Maks obviously doesn’t have to feed Shai every three hours but he likes to spend as much time as possible with him so we’re very fortunate we’re able to have flexible schedules while we both work on the show.”
