Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum Celebrate Their 8th Wedding Anniversary With Daughter Everly
Hollywood couple Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum recently celebrated their 8th anniversary by making it a family affair. Jenna opened up about how the couple celebrated their anniversary at a wilderness camp in Michigan.
Speaking to Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on their morning talk show, Jenna said that their anniversary trip turned out to be a rather quiet one until their 4-year-old daughter Everly discovered a nearby kids camp. And while Jenna and Channing were fine with their downtime, their daughter Everly was having a hard time with her cabin fever.
Jenna said, “The first two days she was like, OK, you know we were in a cabin on the lake with really nothing for her to do. Then we found they had a wilderness camp for kids. They went camping, learning how to make smores, fishing, sailing. She played baseball with pinecones.”
Jenna and Channing have been married since 2009 and according to the World of Dance star, their marriage hasn’t always been easy. In fact, she told Redbook Magazine back in April that she and Channing have managed to make it this far thanks to a whole lot of communication and of course, patience. Luckily, they’ve managed to succeed at both. They are also very careful about keeping their marriage and their family life out of the public spotlight, too.
She told the publication, “You change when you’re together from 25 to 35. I think maybe in my early 20s, I might have tiptoed around issues or didn’t want to make too many waves. Now it’s like, ‘This is how I’m feeling.’ You have to be OK with the other person becoming defensive, to let them be emotional and accept that it won’t be OK for a while.”
