Christina Aguilera Got Patriotic With Her Family For the 4th of July

Christina Aguilera has shared some very patriotic photos with her family for the 4th of July holiday. The former chart topper and judge of ‘The Voice’ donned her red, white and blue for a series of photos on her Instagram account.

Holding an American flag behind her, the singer shared an adorable snap of her two children, Max and Summer Rain, along with her fiancé, Matthew Rutler. The entire family looked to be in the holiday mood, wearing red and blue stripes and holding American flags for their family photo. Christina shares her daughter Summer with her fiancé Matthew while Max is her son with her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman.

Christina also took the opportunity to share photos from her Star Spangled Banner-inspired photo shoot on her account as well. Posing in a swimming pool, she captioned one of her photos with, “Have fun and be safe everyone!”

Back in 2016, Christina opened up about her new life as a mother of two and how she hopes other moms realize that they need to take care of themselves, too. She says that oftentimes new moms get so caught up in taking care of their families that they neglect their own needs.

She told Women’s Health Magazine, “Mothers are constantly expected to be the nurturers, the givers, the providers of a comfortable home. We’re expected to be pregnant, have the kids, breast-feed once we have the babies. And we’re expected to look amazing after baby, right? Keep our husbands and boyfriends interested — because we’re supposed to get back to sexy and keep things exciting in the bedroom.”

Christina added, “There’s such a long list. Having children is the ultimate joy, and I love my kids, but women have to find time to nurture themselves. If someone has a baby, the first thing I’m like is, ‘Okay, are you taking care of you?'”
