Ellen shared a photo of Chris Ivery snuggling with their newborn and captioned it, “Eli Christopher. Chris Ivery just fell a notch.. I’ve got a new guy,” adorn with heart emojis. Grey’s Anatomy fans rushed to Instagram to congratulate Pompeo on her new addition.
Eli Christopher is Ellen and Chris’ third child together. Eli has two big sisters, Sienna May Pompeo Ivery [2 years old] and Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery [7 years old].
Ellen Pompeo has not yet commented on the birth of Eli Christopher, but her daughter Sienna May was born via surrogate two years ago and it’s safe to assume that the Grey’s Anatomy actress and her husband Ivery may have used the surrogate method again this time around.
In 2014 after Sienna May was born, Ellen opened up about using a surrogate mother for her daughter’s birth during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel. Pompeo shared, “This is an incredible thing to do with your life, to give the gift of carrying someone’s child. I am forever grateful and feel very blessed and grateful to her.”
Congratulations are certainly in order for Ellen and Chris, and we can’t wait to see more photos and videos of baby Eli!
