So You Think You Can Dance Host Cat Deeley And Husband Patrick Kielty Announce Pregnancy: Baby Number One!

Cat Deeley is pregnant with baby number one! The “So You Think You Can Dance” host took to Twitter on Thursday September 3 to announce that she and her husband Patrick Kielty were expanding their family. The 38 year old tweeted to her followers, “Exciting news…. Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the Spring….. Lucky us.” Deeley and Patrick tied the knot three years ago in a small and intimate wedding with a handful of close friends and family.

Ironically, Cat’s husband Patrick discussed whether he and his wife would be having children just last month in an interview with the “Birmingham Mail.” When asked whether he and Cat were planning on getting pregnant and having kids – Patrick played coy. Either he really had no idea his wife Cat was pregnant, or he is a better actor than we thought he was. Patrick dished, “I hope any child we might have has Cat’s looks and my accent. With our two strong accents, we basically needed subtitles or a U.N. translator. I don’t know. I generally find that when joy like that comes along, it’s a surprise.”

Well, it sounds like Cat and Patrick were certainly surprised. There is no news yet on how the pregnancy will effect Cat’s “So You Think You Can Dance” schedule, or whether she plans on taking some time off or just rocking her baby bump on national television.
