Kate Middleton PREGNANT with Second Child: Clarence House Makes Official Announcement

Kate Middleton The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second child.  This will be the second child for Kate and her husband Prince William.  The news was confirmed this morning [09/08/14] on Clarence House official twitter account, they tweeted, “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that Their Royal Highnesses are expecting their second child.”

Along with the tweet they included the following press released:

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.  The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.

As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”

Kate Middleton and Prince William whose first child one-year-old George have been eager to add to their family and the couple are excited about the news.  Like Kate’s first pregnancy she is suffering from acute morning sickness.  The news of Kate’s pregnancy follows weeks of speculation by the tabloids that she was carrying her second child.

Prime Minister David Cameron also tweeted his congrats: “Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I’m delighted by the happy news that they’re expecting another baby.”
