Steve Kuhl, a designer and CEO has created the pirate ship bedroom of your Disney laden dreams.
The cool custom design was built for a client of Kuhl’s who wanted to give his son, Zach, the fun childhood he said he never had himself.
The floating pirate ship in the corner of the room was built using 2×12 ribs. Steve then covered the hull in stained plywood to make it look like old wooden planks.
A hanging, rope bridge accesses the bed on the ship. Below, at the base of the bridge is a small jail cell (younger siblings beware).
On deck, there is a crow’s nest for climbing, as well as space for a guest bed.
Kuhl included built in mystery with fun exits, a giant rope ladder and a spiral slide tucked away in one of the closets.
Zach is one lucky kid. Hats off, Mr. Kuhl.
