Celebrate Dr Seuss’ Birthday With Cat in the Hat Pancakes
Dr Seuss‘ birthday is on March 2!
What better way to celebrate the day than with these pancakes that remember Dr Seuss’ most beloved booked. This Cat in the Hat Pancake recipe emulates the cat’s hat with red pancakes, bananas, whipped cream and a cherry on top. Breakfast will not only be fun for children, but help inspire them to learn more about Dr Seuss and his books.
βThe more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.β

Ingredients
1 box pancake mix, prepared as directed
4 bananas, sliced
Wilton Color, Red
Whipped Topping
2 Maraschino Cherries
Directions
Prepare pancake mix as directed. Divide evenly between two bowls, and tint red to desired shade.
Heat griddle to 300 degrees. Pour approximate 1/3 cup fulls of the red batter on griddle. Cook without flipping until cooked through. DO NOT FLIP, as they will discolor.
Increase heat to 350 degrees. Pour approximate 1/3 cup fulls of the regular batter on the griddle. Cook until bubbly and edges begin to dry. Flip and cook until golden brown.
Randomly stack pancakes and bananas until you reach the desired height. Top with whipped cream and a cherry.
Enjoy!
