Ridge is teased to share Brooke’s hope with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Yes, that was a play on words because Hope is the reason why this idea has instantly come to fruition.

Steffy has every right to feel outraged that Brooke would want her job. Wood’s character can easily see Hope’s endgame. Push her out, supplanted by Brooke, and Hope for the Future is suddenly reignited.

Eric has to weigh in on this development, especially considering Ridge and Brooke’s renewed awareness of the respect he deserves.

Brooke Logan Forrester Makes Tactical Mistake?

Brooke is shrewd. She didn’t achieve legendary status, as Hope reminded her mother, by mere chance.

Yes, many romantic overtures, starting with Eric and then with Ridge, along with others, helped doors open for Brooke. But she’s smart and has routinely proven her worth at FC across the decades.

However, she should have run this idea by Eric before speaking to Ridge. Gauging the co-founder’s input would have given Brooke insight and potentially created an ally.

Not doing that will mean that he’ll be as surprised as Ridge was and also be forced to choose between keeping Steffy or replacing her with Brooke, unless there’s an unknown third option in daytime.
