Duggar Drama: Kendra Won’t Share Attorney With Joseph in Molestation Case

Just when it seemed that the world has all but moved on from the eldest Duggar’s child pornography scandals, his brother Joseph Duggar entered the chat. And he didn’t wade into this alone. Nope, his wife was named as a likely accomplice.

The Duggars have surely got the bad pedophile rep on full lowdown, regardless of how you look at it.

Kendra Duggar Chooses Long-time Duggar Lawyer To Represent Her In Child Molestation Charges

During a March 20 jail call, Kendra, 27, informed her husband Joseph, 31, that she intends to have Travis Story, the Duggar family long-time attorney, represent her.

Shortly after the arrest of her husband, Kendra was taken into custody on March 20 by the Tontitown Police Department, where she was charged with four misdemeanor counts of false imprisonment as well as four misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was held for 90 minutes at the Washington County Detention Facility before release.

Later that evening, she made a jail call to her husband.

Joseph preceded their conversation with a little warning, “just know that we can’t talk about a lot on here,” before inquiring as to whether attorney Travis Story “got a hold of [her].”

Story is more significantly known for representing Josh in his child pornography charges, but he has been advising the Duggar patriarch, Jim Bob, on business matters for years.

To Joseph’s inquiries, Kendra admitted that she’s been in communication with him, adding, “I’ve got him as my attorney now.”

“I wasn’t sure if you knew that, I’ve asked him to be my attorney,” she further said.

Joseph then enthusiastically declared, “I wasn’t sure who we settled with but this guy’s good.”

Kendra, however, rejected the idea of sharing an attorney for the trial. “Well it’s not for you, it’s only for me,” Kendra informed him, before explaining that she was told she needed someone “for the case we’ve got going with the kids and stuff.” After saying this, she quickly diverted the topic to ask Joseph, who was arrested and booked into custody two days prior, how he’s adapting to life behind bars.

The ‘Counting On’ star couple are currently scheduled to appear in court for their first hearing on April 29.
