General Hospital Casting News: Broadway Star Heading To Port Charles
General Hospital spoilers suggest that a Broadway star is making his way to the ABC soap very soon. Learn more about all the juicy details below.

As per Entertainment Weekly, Michael James Scott, who has been in the Aladdin musical since 2019, playing “Genie,” is slated for a multi-episode run on General Hospital.
The Broadway star will be playing himself and will appear in scenes with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
Scott’s storyline will start on Thursday, April 23, when Gio decides to take Emma to NYC. Scott will officially enter the canvas on the Friday, April 24 show when Gio introduces his gal pal to his “old friend”, Michael.
The Broadway star will appear in the little town on Monday, May 4, when he takes a trip to Port Charles to perform his big Aladdin hit, “Friend Like Me” at The Savoy. Could Michael end up sharing sparks with any young ladies on PC? Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is single …
Michael James Scott’s Resume
Before joining Aladdin’s cast, Scott worked on a number of other Broadway shows, including The Book of Mormon, Tarzan, Elf, Hair, and Mamma Mia! He also appeared in the North American and Australian tour of Aladdin, as well as the West End production of the show, playing Genie.
Interestingly enough, Scott also happens to be the voice of some animated characters participating in series like Central Park, South Park, and can be seen right now in the reboot of Scrubs as Nurse Dubois. Scott is scheduled to finish up his run at Aladdin on Sunday, May 3 of this year.
On a fun note, Disney acquired ABC (the network that airs General Hospital) in 1995, so there’s a neat link between the soap and Broadway play. Of course, Aladdin stems from the 1992 animated Disney film classic, which became the highest-grossing movie for that year!
