General Hospital Spoilers: Britt’s Unexpected Ally, Lucas Helps with Freedom Plot?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may gain an unexpected ally. Will Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) help with a freedom plot now that he knows Britt is in trouble?

In GH’s February 11 episode, Lucas eavesdropped on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) jaw-dropping conversation. Despite all the times Lucas has rushed to Marco’s defense, he finally got a glimpse of his boyfriend’s true colors.

Marco talked about Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) potentially being an issue and worried about the possibility of her seeing Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) coming in and out of the catacombs.

Sidwell insisted they could make sure Britt was more discreet and ultimately revealed that they had a new way to keep her under control.

Lucas looked horrified as he learned Britt’s medication was being kept on site, which meant she had to complete the project if she wanted to stay alive and functioning.

Now Lucas knows Marco’s been lying about this whole situation with Britt and that he’s in much deeper with his father than he previously let on.

What will Lucas do now that his eyes have been opened? Pascal (Marc Forget) knows that Lucas was eavesdropping, but it’s possible Lucas will pretend he didn’t hear much of anything.

Then again, Lucas could perhaps suggest he doesn’t like Britt anyway and claim he’s still on Marco’s side. Even if Marco finds out what Lucas overheard, Lucas might pretend their love is unshakeable and that he understands business is business.

In reality, Lucas might become a key player in Britt’s storyline. It’d be interesting to see Lucas become Britt’s ally and try to help her out of this dangerous mess.

Lucas will surely have some sympathy for what Britt’s up against and know that it’s wrong for Sidwell to use her Huntington’s disease against her like this.

At some point, Lucas might corner Britt alone and admit he’s aware of the truth. If Britt needs some help sneaking a drug vial out of Wyndemere for reverse engineering, maybe Lucas could pitch in and try to free her from this nightmare.

Whatever the case, there’s room for a surprising alliance here, especially since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will be headed off-screen for a hiatus soon. Britt may need someone else to step up and offer assistance, so will that someone be Lucas?
