The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Mariah’s Escape Ends as Sharon Stays by Her Side

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was smartly asked to go on the Winters’ jet. Devon Winters (Bryton James) wanted her there so she could help Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) when she was caught. That strategy worked.
Mariah has been on the run with Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark) since she abducted him from the Chancellor estate. Everyone in Genoa City, Wisconsin, was stunned by this development, but the viewers weren’t.
The reappearance of Ian Ward (Ray Wise) happened months ago at the mental health clinic that Mariah checked herself into. The audience was initially uncertain whether Ian was targeting Mariah because fans knew he hadn’t died, as GC residents believed.
Devon Winters And Abby Newman Winters Can Breathe
Losing their child was catastrophic. Finding him stabilized the warm family life that Devon and Abby Newman Winters (Melissa Ordway) have built since they married.
It’s always great to see the interior setting of the Chancellor house. Fabled days when the Grande Dame ruled the roost and was the head of this Midwestern town will be forever remembered and loved.
Keeping Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) portrait above the fireplace is a fitting. Kudos to Y&R’s set designers for that touch of class.
Surely Katherine used her heavenly ability to keep her great-grandson safe. Devon and Abby can take Dom home and try to put what happened behind them as soon as possible.

Mariah Copeland’s Horror Not Fully Defined
Viewers learned that something terrible happened to Mariah last year when she went on a business trip for Cassidy First. Bits and pieces of that event were shown in flashbacks.
Will Hensley (Michael Swan) was said to have met Mariah. This significantly older man apparently sparked memories of Ian. Why she felt attracted to him was an unusual part of this tale.
Mariah appears to have smothered Will in a room, but fans don’t know if he died or why she reacted in the way she did. It’s fair to wonder if Swan’s character is also connected in some way to Mariah’s longtime tormentor.
What’s Next For Ian Ward?
Ian seemed to be mortally wounded at the Ranch. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was shot and returned fire. The bullet he struck Ian with led to his apparent death.
Farewell wishes were offered by those he wronged before Ian’s body was transported out of the Newman family home. Mariah, in particular, bid him goodbye, with the implication that she was deeply affected, and then later transferred her buried rage to Will by covering his face with a pillow.
Mariah was supposedly having visions of Ian, which led her to kidnap Dom. Grimes’ character believed she was on The Path, which was the name of the cult Ian led when she was forcibly part of that group during her childhood.
Sharon’s love is what Mariah needed and is receiving. Whether she divulges all that happened in her mind or if Ian actually returns to GC for real should be seen in the near future.
