Days Of Our Lives Alum Peter Reckell Shares A “Piece Of His Heart” In Salem
Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that it’s been a hot minute since fans have seen Bo Brady in Salem; however, the good news is that he has awakened from his coma and is living his next chapter in life with Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso). His portrayer, Peter Reckell, recently hopped on social media to share a memory with fans.
The Good Old Days
Reckell shared a post on X from another account, @evangelia69, who created a collage of memories, honoring the late Frances Reid. Reid was a daytime drama legend, playing Alice Horton on the Peacock soap for decades.
There were photos of a young and older Reid, as well as a video of Alice dancing with the love of her life, Tom Horton (Macdonald Carey). A headline on the post read, “Remembering Frances Reid, December 1914-2010.”
The caption read, “Remembering the legendary Frances Reid today, forever remembered as the heart and soul of #Days as Alice Horton.”
It added, “Her legacy continues to shine brightly through the characters she touched, the fans she inspired, and the timeless moments she gave to television history. #FrancesReid”

Alice Horton’s Legacy
Frances played Alice from Days’ inception in 1965 until 2007. The actress was nominated for two Daytime Emmy awards during her tenure, once in 1979 in the Supporting Actress category, and once in 1987 in the Lead Actress category. In 2004, Reid was given the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award. She passed away on February 3, 2010.
Meanwhile, Reckell has played Bo, Alice’s beloved grandson-in-law, on and off since 1983. During his time as Bo, he won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2002, along with screen partner Kristian Alfonso, in the category of “America’s Favorite Couple, which was voted by fans.
He and Alfonso were also nominated for a Daytime Emmy, Most Irresistible Combination in 2005 (which was also voted in by fans), but the duo didn’t win that one. Finally, in 2009, he received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Lead Actor.

Yes. I would LOVE to see Bo and Hope Return to DOOL. They made DOOL interesting and fun to watch. The story lines are boring to me right now so I am not watching right now.
