General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Confides In Ava, Compromises Herself At The Same Time?
General Hospital spoilers gush Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) are making up this week. To be honest, they aren’t in nearly as dire of straits as Ava and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) have been.
Still, neither Nina nor Portia appreciated Ava’s attempt to ambush them into a friendship. But Portia needs someone to vent to.
With Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) confessing he wants to be a father, and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) brimming with joy at the very thought of this baby coming into the world, Portia has to be wondering how this paternity problem is going to turn her world upside down one way or the other.
Will Ava help her come to an honest conclusion, or will it become a matter of collusion?
Trina’s Bestie Becomes Portia’s Ally
Remember not too long ago when Ava was actually Trina’s confidante? Somewhere along the way, Trina and Ava drifted away from one another, despite Trina still working some at Ava’s gallery.
They aren’t enemies in the slightest, but they aren’t buddy-buddy like they used to be either. Enter Portia, desperate for a friend she can trust.
She initially started spilling her guts to Ava because she felt she was someone who would look out for Trina if any of the details of her parents’ private problems started to permeate her world. Instead, Trina is okay, but Portia is far from it, and historically, Ava is the type of person who uses a desperate person to her advantage.
GH Spoilers Claim Portia Reveals Too Much
What’s there to reveal, right? Ava was among the first of few people that Portia told the truth about her paternity problemo. She doesn’t know who the father of her baby is — and neither Trina nor Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) knows that.
Furthermore, Ava also knows all about Portia’s blackmail issues with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). In other words, Ava is in the power position here.
While she hasn’t given us any reason to suspect she’ll do something bad with that information, her recent behavior should make all of us question just what she’s up to.
If Portia is venting to Ava, she might overshare and end up in a situation where someone once again knows too much about her very personal secrets and can use them against her.
Who on Earth Trusts Ava?
On the other hand, how many people have trusted Ava with their deepest darkest secrets and come to regret it? Did Portia not learn well enough last time that Ava was willing to abandon their friendship and throw her to the wolves by lining her up to run into Nina when they were clearly at odds? It doesn’t seem like Ava has been looking out for Portia, and we certainly know the first person she is always looking out for is herself.
