General Hospital: Britt’s Extreme Trust Problems Are Wearing Thin With Viewers

General Hospital: Britt Westourne (Kelly Thiebaud)

General Hospital Spoilers gush Britt Westourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has been going hard at Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for every mistake he’s ever made and every shortcoming he brings to the table — and quite frankly, we’re sick of it.

The fans have been letting Thiebaud have it on social media lately, pleading with her to stop making it so hard for Jason to love her.

We’re tired of this I can’t let anyone in because I may get hurt act. Girl, you’re a grown woman. You just escaped death. Live a little! Instead, Britt is hung up on the past and using it to keep a wedge driven between her and Jason when we know all she really wants to do is collapse into his arms and tell him everything.

A Long Time Coming

Remember that when Britt “died,” she already thought Jason was dead, too. Although she is very much the pot calling the kettle black, she doesn’t seem to think she is nearly as much of a hypocrite for faking her own death and letting people like Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) grieve her.

Still, she holds it against Jason that he compromised with the FBI and became an informant, requiring that he fake his death. But let’s be honest, it’s not that he faked his death that really has her twisted in knots — it’s why he did it.

GH Spoilers Tease Carly, Carly, Carly!

Britt knew when she first got involved with Jason that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was likely to always come first in his life. Carly seems to keep Jason’s loyalty under lock and key.

He and Britt’s relationship came to a fiery end when he had to walk away to marry Carly for the safety of the family and the business back when they thought Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was dead.

General Hospital: Carly Spencer (Laura Wright)

Alright, we can sympathize with not wanting to reignite anything with the guy who walked out on her like that, but Britt isn’t just taking issue with coming second to Carly. She’s taking issue with coming second at all.

Duty Calls

It’s not rational to expect that Jason would tell his employer, Sonny, that he can’t deliver on a job in an emergency because Britt needs to have a heart to heart with him, but that’s just what she seemed to expect this week.

She appeared nearly ready to tell him why she was working at the Five Poppies and in Professor Henry ‘Hank’ Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab. But Sonny called upon him to dispose of Dalton’s body, and Jason knew that couldn’t wait.

Britt held it against him anyway. He rescued her from Croatia, and she told him she wished he hadn’t. He put her up in his room above Bobbie’s, and she has lamented over how it’s not good enough for her.

He co-signed on a car loan for her and has been there to protect her and offer emotional support. Instead of thanks, she keeps rehashing his unavailability that doesn’t mean her needs.

Okay Britt, then either make up or move on already, right? Repeatedly chastising Jason for being loyal and not changing his stripes isn’t a good look. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers right around the corner.
