Personally I have never felt Jason/Carly belonged together just due to their platonic relationship. The two are better of as BFF than lovers. The two just don’t bring romantic chemistry in my opinion. I think it is much better for the two to remain as friends and TPTB hire actors for each as a love interest.

You reporters don’t know what you’re talking about. Jasam isn’t possible because they were Jason and Sam. Sam presumed dead. Maurice Bernard is not quite ready to retire saw him on tour and he stated not yet. Maybe a few more years we’ll see.
