All About The New Prime Series GH’s William Lipton Is Starring In “The Runaround”
General Hospital (GH) fans miss seeing Cameron Webber on canvas, although his name is mentioned quite a bit. Plus, he has popped in to town occasionally since leaving Port Charles for Stanford University in March 2023.
Now the character’s portrayer, William Lipton, has a new exciting project on the horizon, as he’s slated to appear in a new Prime series this fall.
All About Cameron Webber
Lipton first entered storylines as Cameron in 2018 and dove right into the PC teen scene. He had some interesting storylines with Tabyana Ali’s Trina Robinson, and Eden McCoy’s Josslyn Jacks, as well as Nicholas Chavez’ Spencer Cassadine.
In fact, there were hints that Trina and Cameron may hook up, only for Joss and him to feel some sparks and dive into a bonafide romance.
Alas, Joss broke his heart when she cheated on him and then dumped him for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). He left Port Charles shortly afterwards.
With that said, Cameron has always been able to rely on his mom, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) who has been like a rock in his life, throughout his ‘highs’ and ‘lows’. While Cam did leave for school, he reappeared for Spencer’s memorial service in early 2024, and again during the holidays in December 2024.
The Runarounds
If you are a subscriber to Prime Video, then you’ll want to catch Lipton’s new show, The Runarounds. The series is set to debut very soon, and the cast and crew are currently filming episodes.
The Runaround
The Runaround will release all eight episodes on Monday, September 1. The show follows a group of high school students who have just graduated from Wilmington, North Carolina.
They form a rock band the summer after grad and bond via their respective love of music and dreaming the impossible dream of becoming famous.
