The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Who Killed Heather Stevens? Fans Finally Learn The Truth
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that the soap finally confirmed to fans recently, what they’ve been suspecting for months now: Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) did not murder Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).
With so many questions looming after Sharon found out her bipolar meds had been tampered with; she asked Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) to place her under hypnosis the week of December 16-20.
Thanks to the sessions, Sharon was not only able to remember that she wasn’t behind Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) car crash, but also that she was not the one who murdered Heather.
Y&R Spoilers: A Black-Gloved Hand Revealed The Culprit
Y&R spoilers for the Thursday, December 19 episode remind fans that during her hypnosis session with Alan, Sharon remembered a glove on her shoulder and heard Heather scream before she passed out on the couch. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) were present during the session.
While fans knew that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Ian Ward (Ray Wise) were behind Heather’s demise, upon returning to Genoa City, it still seemed uncertain for a while as to which villain was responsible.
It was implied that Jordan was the one; however, upon seeing the black-gloved hand on Sharon’s shoulder, the show confirmed that Jordan, public enemy #1 to the Newman family was the culprit. The hand did look like hers, although the show could spin it either way when push comes to shove (as a face wasn’t shown).
Y&R Spoilers: What Comes Next?
Sharon is far from out of the woods yet. As Michael pointed out during the Friday, December 20 episode, Sharon can’t only present the hypnosis sessions in her trial with hopes she’ll get off scot-free for Heather’s murder and Phyllis’ accident. Plus, without knowing that Jordan and Ian are in Genoa City, some drama will loom there, too.
Y&R’s Executive Producer and Head Writer, Josh Griffith noted during a November interview with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) that the soap would end 2024 on an ‘explosive’ note and that Ian’s drastic measures would affect both Phyllis and Sharon.
With only a handful more episodes until fans ring in the new year, it’ll be interesting to see what happens next.

I saw a comment from a viewer with an idea that the person Sharon dumped into the river was a not Heather but a setup look alike by Ian Ward and that Heather was the woman in prison to cover Jordan’s absence at Ian’s evil doing. This would actually be a GREAT storyline and lead up to a very emotional reunion for Daniel and Lucy. Come on Y&R make it happen!!
I agree with you it would be great if Heather was still alive and they would bring her back. Sounds like a good story. Especially for Christmas.
