Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Stefan’s Unresolved Exit For Gabi – 3 Ways The Soap Can Offer Stabi Closure
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note that Brandon Barash shockingly exited the role of Stefan DiMera in late October. His mother, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), desperately wanted to keep him from reuniting with Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), so she had her manservant, Ivan Mareis (Ivan G’Vera) kidnapped Stefan and take him to Alamania.
During the Tuesday, December 10 episode, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) went off on what a creep Stefan was – leaving Gabi high and dry by signing their divorce papers and skipping town; however, it’s clear that she still can’t shake how off-base this behavior was, even for him.
Could the show do something – anything – to offer Gabi some closure on this? Here are 3 suggestions on how Days can ‘fix’ this storyline.
Days Spoilers: A Letter From Stefan DiMera Reaches Gabi Hernandez
DOOL spoilers imply that while Stefan is being held captive in Alamania, this doesn’t mean he won’t make friends among those who are keeping a close eye on him. Could he reason with a prison guard or someone who brings him his food? Could he ask a doctor or nurse to send a letter to Gabi on his behalf?
He may promise not to disclose where he is (so no one gets in trouble) rather, the goal would be to write a note about how much he loved her and what a difficult decision it was to leave town – perhaps something along the lines that she “deserved” better.
DOOL Spoilers: Gabi Finds An Old Note
Days spoilers indicate that Stefan doesn’t seem like the type of character who journals, but anything is possible in the land of Salem, right? What if Gabi were to find an old note or journal entry from the day Stefan left town?
Something that reveals how much he loved her, didn’t want to divorce her, and that he likely deserved all this because of his one-night stand with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Could this come in the form of a voice note on an old phone or computer?
Days Spoilers: Bring Brandon Barash Back
Then again, likely the best way for closure is to bring Brandon Barash back to reprise the role of Stefan, where the character reveals what happened to him.
With his mysterious kidnapping, it seems as if the soap is keeping a door open for a return down the road, and it’s probably going to happen at some point after Gabi gets overly serious with JJ. Still, if Barash can’t return, then perhaps a recast could fill in and do the job, too.
