Eric Braeden Addresses Retirement Rumors
The Young And The Restless Spoilers indicate that just before the 13,000 episode, Eric addressed these retirement rumors.
Eric spoke with TV Insider and fans will be pleased to know that Eric has no intention of hanging up his business suit just yet. Eric may be 83 years old but he is still going strong and says he doesn’t want to retire.
Eric’s cancer battle certainly proved that he did the right thing by doing what he loves during his battle. Eric have the support of his loved ones and he fans which was great support.
As for his health now, Eric says he feels very well. Eric has gotten through this battle but still has to be monitored closely by getting tests ever so often.
Eric went on to explain, “The [bladder] cancer is under control and I will have another cystoscopy in about a month, and if that is negative, then I’ll be free for a while.
It’s never gone completely. You have to always watch, but signs are very good. The new knee is fully repaired. I do squats again and power cleans again and all that.”

On February 8, 2025 Eric will celebrate another milestone on the Young And The Restless as he celebrates 45 years as Victor Newman.
We have had no information about the celebration, but if his 40th anniversary is anything to go by, it will certainly be an event. In 2020, fans were treated to three episodes with lots of flashbacks to celebrate.

Of course, fans know that Eric’s anniversary will fall during February sweeps which make it even more exciting. With Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) on the loose currently, spoilers suggest that it could be February sweeps before she is taken down.
Whatever the case, fans would no doubt love to see Victor and Jordan come face to face again.
Could Eric’s anniversary tie into the Jordan story? The anniversary will certainly play into sweep in some way, what better than to have Victor protecting is family and finally putting an end to this threat?
