Some Little People, Big World fans believe that Audrey Roloff posts about her kids in such a way that she is actually “ragebaiting.” TLC fans can’t believe that a supposedly intelligent woman would constantly put her kids, in danger so many times unless it was intentional. But, was she letting Radley behave dangerously in her latest post?

Audrey Roloff Gets Roasted All The Time

Little People, Big World fans keep a close eye on Audrey. That’s because, in the past, they saw the kids riding three-up on an ATV with no helmets. Undoubtedly, that could have had a catastrophic outcome if things went wrong.

Audrey Roloff does get some defenders, many of whom grew up on farms. Lots of TLC viewers believe that city-raised folks take the safety of kids to extremes. But mostly, her defenders seem few and far between. And this week, most people slammed her for endangering Radley. But, others thought that critics made too much fuss about it.

Radley & The Dreaded Cheese Grater

Recently, the Little People, Big World alum posted a reel of Radley sitting on the counter grating some cheese. In her caption, she talked about him “helping” her although he often makes the biggest “mess.”

A 3yo using a cheese grater, what could go wrong?

In the discussion that followed, most TLC fans agreed that it seemed dangerous to allow a kid to use sharp kitchen utensils. Here are some comments by critics:

  • Helping is fine, but how about helping without a sharp object. Great parenting, Audrey.
  • legit just shaved off my thumb knuckle on one and it hurts so bad.
  • I nearly took off part of my finger the same way. I’m gun shy to use one again myself.
  • don’t know why I didn’t assume they were so sharp. And fingers never stop bleeding. Blood all in my cheese so I would never trust a 3 year old to do this.

Conversely, other TLC fans thought it wasn’t a big deal to allow a three-year-old to grate cheese. Here are are their counter-points:

  • If you Montessori teaching your children. This is a”skill” they should be able to do by two.
  • My niece is in Montessori and she learned how to use a grater in junior kindergarten/pre-school.
  • Calm down, it’s not like they have him riding around in a farm vehicle with no seat belt or helmet. My kids often helped in the kitchen at that age, grating cheese, taking their share of cheese tax, opening cans, and cracking eggs.

What are your thoughts on Audrey Roloff allowing Radley Knight to grate the cheese? Do you think that she was behaving dangerously? Or, is it reasonably common for kids to learn to use a grater safely in other families or at preschool?
