The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Brooke’s Blind Rage Ignores the Truth About Hope’s Decision

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is incensed, and no one is surprised.
Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) is taking full blame from her oldest sister because she’s accused of having stolen Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Brooke’s latest outrageous accusation underscores a reaction Katie had when being confronted about the alleged crime.
The head of Logan told one of Forrester Creations’ top executives that Hope is not a child.
Hope was not kidnapped. She isn’t a child who was lured with a lollipop to leave Forrester Creations playpen.
Yet, that is how Brooke sees her thirty-something daughter. So, why is that?
Katie Logan Is Still Looking Out The Window
Many months ago, Katie committed the first major crime of leaving her employer to head a new business. Brooke didn’t recognize that reality then.
Instead, she said that Katie was still a little girl who used to look out of her bedroom window at her. She aspired to be like her big sister but wasn’t capable of being so because of their age gap.
So, Brooke’s psychology has been the issue all these years. Deep in her heart, Lang’s character doesn’t see Katie Logan Spencer. She sees little Katie in childhood, which must also mean that Brooke sees herself as in her twenties.
Hope Logan Is Also A Child From This Perspective
Hope is not a doll, like Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) infamously convinced himself that she was. Yet, Brooke must believe that Hope has never advanced to adulthood and must be protected.
Apparently, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is a suitable protector. Though that assessment is questionable because he committed to and broke from Hope on multiple occasions during the years when he and the now-Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) were married on-and-off.
The emotional linkage between Brooke’s view of Katie and Hope is important.
It helps to explain her reactions to whatever Katie and Hope do. To a certain extent, Brooke’s belief that Eric Forrester (John McCook) was taken advantage of by Katie dates back to the days when Lang’s and McCook’s characters were married. She’s still protective of him as well.
Brooke Logan Forrester Is A Sister And A Mother
In Brooke’s mind and heart, she is protecting them. But control over their lives is clearly part of that instinct because Brooke still believes they need her specific guidance at this point in their lives.

Brooke’s importance in the life of the Logan family is rooted in their mother’s death and her need to be a mother-like figure for Katie and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis).
Both women know that and also recognize their inability to have recognized the development into independent adults who are capable of making their own decisions.
Katie did not make a career decision as Brooke sees it. The choice was personal and based solely on Katie’s desire to prove herself to this replacement mother, Brooke.
Hope’s choice to leave FC and go to Logan is also a betrayal because she only did so to teach her mother a lesson.
Fans know that Katie and Hope partially base their decisions with Brooke in mind. But their main intentions were personal growth.
Brooke believes she retains the indefinite right of first refusal and that her advice should be sought and implemented on all significant decisions. But neither lady is the little girl who once needed Brooke to fill that role in their lives.
