The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Forrester’s Confidence Crumbles as Katie and Bill Gain the Upper Hand

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Forrester Creations is used to being on top. In the minds of the Forrester family, a new company like Logan couldn’t stop their stride.
Well, Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) has a shocker in store for her loving sister, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Not only has she poached another FC employee, but it is none other than Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Katie was true to her word. She didn’t hire a Forrester because Hope’s last name is Spencer.
Ridge Forrester Started This Mess
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) behaved foolishly months ago at the genesis of this arc.
It began when Ridge believed his father’s health was being jeopardized and provided him with a retirement party.
Brooke went along with her loving husband, also choosing to believe that Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) health was imperiled by the perceived fashion weight that Ridge and she could handle.
That miscalculation led to Eric throwing a major fit and leaving the company he founded. It just so happened that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) plotted what Katie saw as the ideal wedding gift, the creation of Logan.
Brooke Logan Forrester Deserves Blame Too
While Ridge and Brooke’s efforts were well-intentioned, they were also condescending. Viewers haven’t forgotten that Brooke later took Hope’s self-promoting advice and asked Ridge to force his daughter out of FC’s shared top spot.
Brooke believed Hope’s idea, that Lang’s character supplant Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), as FC’s co-Chief Executive Officer, was brilliant.
No, it was intended to backstab Steffy and install Brooke as Ridge’s business equal so that Hope for the Future could be reestablished.

Beyond the above, Brooke’s far greater mistake was underestimating and undervaluing Katie. The face slap became part of a reveal where Brooke proved her familial protective instincts also include a superiority complex.
All Is Fair In Love And The Fashion Business
FC is a behemoth, but it’s not unbeatable. Bill sensed that when he convinced Katie to lead what he sees as a rival company, not a boutique effort.
Tom’s character isn’t doing anything differently than what Eric and his late, great wife, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), did when they co-founded the company many decades ago. They played hardball, and so are the Spencers.
What’s different is that Logan is challenging the reigning champion. Just like Bill, Katie isn’t afraid to take bold chances. The Forresters weren’t prepared for a frontal assault and will need to adapt and respond quickly, or their brand will continue to be damaged.
FC won’t have an easy go of it. Hope just left the company and will be Logan’s next buzzworthy acquisition.
Meanwhile, Ridge, Steffy, and Brooke are literally banking on Eric’s return line hitting. FC better or Logan will overtake them in popularity and potentially, sales.
