The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Patty’s Dangerous Obsession Grows – But Jack Refuses To Give Up On Her

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) has delusions of grandeur. Based on recent events, who could blame here?

The character this great actor played hadn’t been seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin, for many years. She was last connected to Ian Ward (Ray Wise) while dressed as a nun and headed for another country.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) located one of Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) greater nemeses and aimed him at his rival.

The yacht plot couldn’t have gone better for the Moustache and Patty, with Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) dropping her husband as a result and siding with Victor about him.

Diane Jenkins Abbott Sees Victor Newman’s Value

It was rather stunning to see Diane admit that Victor was right about Jack. But she did that at the Genoa City Athletic Club in front of her ex-husband and estranged husband.

As Diane now sees it, Victor’s methods were wrong, but his core belief was right. She cares about Jack but recognizes that he has a rogue streak in him, as Victor has long claimed.

However, what happened with Patty involved her using drugs to neutralize Jack’s inhibitions. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) were disgusted when catching Jack in a compromised position with Patty, but they have since realized the drug aspect influenced that outcome. Diane hasn’t decided the same.

Matt Clark Connection Is Broken

Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) appreciated Patty rescuing him after Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) knocked him unconscious. However, he’s not attracted to her like he is to Phyllis.

So, Matt agreed to meet with the head of Summers Conglomerate. He commented on the oil-based painting that adorns Phyllis’ office, which is a direct cheeky punch at Victor’s painting, which she replaced.

Realizing that Phyllis lured Matt to her and then set him up to be secured by Victor means that Patty lost the ability to provide value to Braeden’s character. This unexpected turnabout will set her off.

Jack Abbott Believes In Patty Williams

Jack knows that Patty cares about him. But he’s not naive, also recognizing that she remains unstable.

Patty’s rehabilitation has resulted in her being able to present herself far better than she has in years. Yet, Jack, Victor, and all who know her understand that it’s probably only a matter of time before she does something violent.

Bergman’s character intends to use Patty as a weapon turned back on Victor. Both men are central figures in GC. So, someone else is likely to take the brunt of Patty’s coming backlash.

No matter what happens to Jack or Victor, Bergman and Braeden most likely aren’t going anywhere. So, their characters will live.
But what about Matt?

He is heading for some form of justice. Having Patty deliver it would make sense.
