General Hospital’s Cynthia Watros Talks Nina & Brennan’s Romance, Carly’s Recycled Love Interest Trend

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) relationship may be shifting based on their latest interaction at Crimson.

Brennan came to Nina in GH’s April 29 episode and suggested they should reset things between them, so the tension has lifted due to their truce.

Of course, Brennan’s actions came on the heels of his negotiation with Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), so there’s more going here than Nina realizes.

Nina is also keeping secrets about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) recruiting her for a Jack trap, but she may avoid any major Brennan betrayals in the end.

Based on how Nina and Brennan’s storyline has played out so far, some fans are wondering if a romance might be brewing. After all, Nina has been single for quite some time and could use some love in her life.

Brennan’s anger and heartbreak will follow his discovery of Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) affair with Valentin, so he may need some comfort. Could Nina end up being the one to provide it?

Whatever the case, we could be in the middle of an enemies-to-lovers story. Now that Nina and Brennan have become a bit more amicable, they may have just taken the next step in that journey.

In an interview with SOD, Cynthia Watros revealed whether she’d be on board with a romantic twist for Brennan and Nina. Watros admitted she loved the possibility and even suggested maybe the Willow situation could spark some teamwork.

“I love the idea of them trying to come together and work together to get out of this mess,” Watros said.

Watros also predicted that once the truth comes out about Carly and Valentin, it’ll “trigger” Nina and leave her “really hurt” despite moving on from her ex-husband.

That could certainly give Nina and Brennan a reason to bond. Part of Brennan might even feel like he’s getting back at Carly by sizzling with Nina, who’s always been a thorn in Carly’s side.

Since Nina tends to wind up with love interests who have also been with Carly, Watros had a good explanation for that.

“There aren’t a lot of eligible guys in Port Charles — we have to recycle!” Watros insisted.
