The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) kept her secret far longer than she should have. Thankfully, Daphne Walton (Murielle Hilaire) pushed the issue and let go of her burden.
Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) was in the showroom when Daphne approached her. She did so with care because Hilaire’s character knew the explosive information she was about to relay.
It was smart of Daphne not to tell Electra what Ivy did but rather to strongly encourage her to speak with Ivy. That shifted the burden to the woman who manipulated Electra’s and Will Spencer’s (Crew Morrow) lives for months.
Electra trusted her aunt. She believed Ivy was a confidant who was looking out for her best interests. But what started as familial protection evolved into an obsession.
There was no reason for Electra to have undergone such torment, yet she did because Ivy skillfully managed her personal life. But Electra never asked for that type of help and wasn’t told what happened because Ivy knew in her heart that what she did was wrong.
The mistakes in judgment Will made were seized upon. Ivy used Electra’s misgivings, which dated back to the Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) period, and exploited the situation. Thankfully, this extended deception was broken through Daphne’s principled stance.
Luna was fixated on Will to an intense degree. She felt that he represented her ticket to the good life, and Electra would be easily forced off the stage.
But Will had none of it and repeatedly told Luna that he was never going to be interested in her. Luna didn’t take no for an answer and eventually got herself pregnant, through horribly deceptive measures.
Then, in a very soapy way, the viewers learned that Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) was the person who accidentally hit and killed Luna. It just so happens that she makes a play for him, and he becomes emotionally involved with her, which directly served to alienate Electra.
Will has resented the way Ivy inserted herself into his personal business. He’s suspected her of dirty dealings since she first challenged him at the beach house in front of Melissa and Electra.
Plus, RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti), whose arrogance precedes him, became Will’s nemesis. Morrow’s character didn’t need that.
RJ isn’t going anywhere at Forrester Creations. The only son of Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), two people whose egos have been rightly cited recently by Will’s parents, is entrenched in his family’s business.
So, Will is right. Electra isn’t into RJ. But she thinks he’s very attractive and allowed some kisses after his initial one was chided.
Ivy’s admission must mean that Electra tells Will what she learned. They will feel reaffirmed that their love was never broken and probably reunite. However, a lot of time has been put into RJ’s interest, which creates a purposeful, open-ended plot option.
