He continues to proclaim his love for Taylor, who repeatedly reciprocates. Meanwhile, Sheila has a gnawing suspicion that her husband isn’t being honest with her.

Sheila originally suspected Deacon was falling for Taylor months ago. That was after he initially sought her psychiatric counseling services. But the marriage rebound caused Sheila to credit Taylor for a perceived breakthrough.

The idea of Taylor talking to Deacon beyond the first time he came to her practice is ludicrous. But, as fans recall, Sheila encouraged that behavior.

She unknowingly pushed Deacon into the arms of a woman he had become attracted to. Devoted fans know that Kanan’s character and the one Budig now portrays weren’t in each other’s romantic orbit.

This pairing hasn’t been rushed; it’s developed over several months. However, it is somewhat indigestible because of how Deacon pursued an exit from his marriage. He didn’t simply break from her but instead pursued a link to the Forrester family.

Deacon Sharpe Has No Road Home

Sheila was the one person in Los Angeles, California, who accepted Deacon as he was after being let out of prison. Their outsider status was part of the attraction they referenced when first getting together.

Adding to the suspension of disbelief, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) have supported their dad’s pursuit of Taylor. They, like Deacon, rationalized or ignored how Sheila would react when learning the truth.

Sheila Carter Sharpe Needs Li Nozawa’s Help

Sheila doesn’t have many friends. Taylor surely isn’t that, which makes Li Nozawa’s (Naomi Matsuda) recent stop at Il Giardino for pizza a likely foreshadowing event.

Being that this is soap, Li is long past Sheila, having knocked her unconscious when discovering that she was hiding an undead John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Brown’s determined character is an analyzer. So, she’ll need to run her thoughts by someone she can trust.

One reveal angle that could be used is if Li sees more than she anticipated or overhears confirmation of Deacon’s and Taylor’s connection. They should hope someone becomes a buffer, and Li is positioned to be that person.

Sheila’s uncovering reality directly could produce immediate consequences for the two people who are betraying her trust. Taylor and Deacon intend to be together, while foolishly convincing themselves that they can deceive Sheila indefinitely.
