Superstar Rihanna reportedly fled Los Angeles this week. In fact, it came after a very scary shooting incident at her Beverly Hills mansion over the weekend. The scariest part of all, is that although she was with her partner A$AP Rocky, the kids were also in the home at the time. Read on for more details.
Naturally, it must have been terrifying, and Rihanna seemed totally shaken by the experience. You might have heard about it already, because the cops already booked Ivanna Ortiz (35) and charged her with the true crime of attempted murder.
When Inside Edition reported on the updated incident, folks were reminded that the case seemed just too awful. The police allege that she drove up to the gated home in a white Tesla on Sunday afternoon.
Next, they said that she started shooting, and plenty of bullets flew. Actually, damage done included the gate and an RV parked in the driveway. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like any of them actually entered her home.
All in all, about ten gunshots reverberated across the neighborhood. Fortunately, nobody was injured though. Inside Edition cited People Magazine as reporting that a source told them, “The singer is freaking out.” Notably, she also questioned why on earth someone would “target” her in her home.
In the update, folks heard that Rihanna and her family grabbed some suitcases and took off in a convoy of cars to Van Nuys airport. There, they boarded a jet and flew off to who knows where. Apparently, maybe only the pilot knows her destination.
Leaving her home makes a lot of sense to almost everyone who saw the news report on YouTube. One viewer commented, “I would leave too!!!! Just glad no one was hurt.” Another person agreed, writing, “I’m just glad she and her babies are unharmed.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
As the cops look into a motive, other details emerged about the suspect. Court documents reveal that Ortiz lost custody of her daughter in 2024 and was temporarily held under “Florida’s Baker Act.” What is that? Well, it’s an involuntary mental health hold.
Apparently, back in January, she ranted on social media about the devil and Rihanna. Naturally, if that’s what happened, the folks wonder why the heck she had access to a firearm.
Security expert Kent Moyer knows that people in the spotlight can sometimes seem very vulnerable. “Once people know where you live, what else is a celebrity to do? Are they supposed to move?” he asked.
Well, the answer is that really all they can do is “build layers of protection at the house.” Those layers include things like “fence sensors and cameras with AI… cameras that maybe would identify whether the person has a weapon on them.”
These days, any celeb needs to be super-aware about the crazies who might target them in their homes.
For now, Rihanna obviously makes her family a top safety priority. Actually, they usually remain rather private online, and that’s what made the incident even more bizarre.
